Terms of Service

Updated: 23.07.2026 · Version: v1.0-2026 · Service: solvejs.com

These Terms set out the rules for using the SolveJS service. By creating an account or using the service, you accept their content.

This English text is a courtesy translation. The Polish version is the legally binding one — in case of any discrepancy, the Polish wording prevails.

§1. General provisions

  • The operator of SolveJS (solvejs.com), hereinafter the Service, is ABBA SOFT, ul. Arkuszowa 67, 01-934 Warsaw, Poland, VAT ID (NIP): 1181429820, REGON: 016248118 — hereinafter the Operator.
  • The Service is an educational platform with JavaScript challenges (puzzles), intended for learning and practising programming and working with browser developer tools.
  • All you need is a modern web browser with JavaScript enabled.

§2. Definitions

  • User — a person using the Service.
  • Account — an individual User profile created upon registration.
  • Challenge / Puzzle — a single exercise made available in the Service.
  • Demo — selected challenges available without creating an account.

§3. Registration and account

  • Creating an account requires providing an e-mail address, a nickname and a password, and confirming the e-mail address with an activation code.
  • The User provides a genuine e-mail address of their own and is responsible for keeping the password confidential.
  • It is prohibited to use nicknames that are offensive, misleading, impersonating other people or brands, or names reserved for the purposes of the Service.
  • As a rule, one User keeps one account.

§4. Free-of-charge nature of the service

  • Use of the Service is entirely free of charge. The Service charges no fees for access to challenges, accounts, points or the leaderboard.
  • An account serves solely to save progress, earn points and take part in the leaderboard. The content of the challenges remains free.
  • The Operator does not sell anything and does not process payments within the Service.

§5. Rules of use

When using the Service, the User undertakes in particular to:

  • refrain from actions that disrupt the operation of the Service or circumvent its safeguards (e.g. request limits),
  • refrain from using automated tools, bots or mass downloading (scraping) of challenge content,
  • use the „DevTools” challenges exclusively within the targets provided for that purpose by the Service — these techniques serve learning and must not be directed against other systems,
  • use the challenge content for their own educational purposes.

§6. Copyright and intellectual property

  • The challenge content, descriptions, code, graphics and layout of the Service are the property of the Operator or are used under appropriate rights, and are protected by law.
  • The User is granted the right to use the content solely for their own purposes. Copying, making publicly available or redistributing the challenge database without the Operator's consent is prohibited.

§7. Liability of the Operator

  • The Service is provided for educational purposes, on an „as is” basis.
  • The Operator makes every effort to keep the Service working correctly and available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability — technical or maintenance breaks may occur.
  • The Operator is not liable for the consequences of using the Service in a manner inconsistent with these Terms.

§8. Complaints and contact

Please submit comments and complaints via the contact form. The Operator handles reports within 30 days.

§9. Suspension and deletion of an account

  • The Operator may suspend or delete an account that violates these Terms or the law.
  • The User may stop using the Service and request deletion of their account at any time.

§10. Changes to the Terms

The Operator will give at least 14 days' notice of material changes to these Terms by e-mail or through a message in the Service. The current version is always available on the Terms page.

§11. Final provisions

Matters not covered herein are governed by Polish law, including the GDPR. Data processing is described in the Privacy Policy. The supervisory authority for data protection is the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
